Santoprene

Santoprene is a fully cross-linked thermoplastic elastomer, which can be used as an alternative to polychloroprene rubber (CR), EPDM or chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM). The product groups are characterised by their very good sealing properties, good oil and chemical resistance as well as weathering resistance at temperatures between -40 and +135 °C. It is used in many areas such as the automobile and cable industries and also the consumer goods industry. Santoprene is available in a number of various types depending on the properties required.

Special Grades


Santoprene 8000

In addition to having the properties of Santoprene, Santoprene 8000 has very good colouring and colour consistency, is non-hygroscopic and easy to process using injection moulding and extrusion. Various types are available for supply.


Dytron XL

Dytron XL fulfils to a great extent the special requirements laid down by the cable industry. The product is halogen-free and flame-retardant. After cross-linking by silane or irradiation Dytron XL meets the hot set test at 200 °C.


Geolast

Geolast is available for applications where a high resistance to oil is necessary.
