Calcined kaolins

Microbrite from AUSTRALIAN CHINA CLAYS LTD.

Microbrite is produced by heating kaolin to over 1000°C under carefully controlled conditions. Such treatment modifies the particle shape, the chemistry, and the mineralogy of kaolin. There results a calcined kaolin with excellent optical and physical properties which is particularly suitable for applications in the paper and polymer industries.
