Metakaolins

Metabrite from AUSTRALIAN CHINA CLAYS LTD.

Metabrite is produced by heating kaolin to about 800–850°C under carefully controlled conditions. Such treatment modifies the particle shape, the chemistry, and the mineralogy of kaolin. There results a metakaolin with excellent chemical and physical properties, which is particularly suitable for applications in polymers, building materials, and the chemical industry.
